Removing second xp

I had so much trouble after installing SP2 that I reinstalled Xp and now have
a second Windows on my hard drive. I am running out of disc space on my hard
drive and would like to delete the second copy. Is there an easy way and what
would happen if I just deleted the folder WINDOWS1?

use msconfig to verify your boot path, then delete the windows1 folder
