removing programs in safe mode

I thought I would start a new thread because this is a bit different than the
previous thread. I am now trying to remove adobe reader 8.0.1 in safe mode,
but I keep getting this message: "The Windows Installer Service could not be
accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in SAFE MODE or if the
Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your personnel for
assistance." I would prefer not to mess with the registry to clear up this
problem, but if it's absolutely necessary...

Hello,

I'm sorry I didn't get the background of this, but why are you removing it
Safe Mode, actually?

This may seem like a stupid question, but does it matter if I put spaces in
between the slashes and the next character and the backslashes and the next
character? Also, in the second article (the first one did not work, I get the
same message), do I type all that stuff in one command?

Hello,

are you maybe using the Safe Mode with Networking? So then it would be:
cmd.exe ->
REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Network\MSIServer"
/VE /T REG_SZ /F /D "Service"

Enter and then

net start msiserver
