removing Kaspersky

Hiya Gurus
I'm avaluating a couple of antivurus programs, And i've installed
Kaspersky, but I can't remove it, It won't even let me disable it.
How can I uninstall it now? If this is how it's going to work on my
system, then I don't want anything to do with it.
I was running AVG & have been happy with it, But after readign a few
posts here about Kaspersky, I thought i'd give it a go, But I don't like
how it's taken control away from me.
Anybody know how I can get rid of it?

You haven't explained exactly what doesn't work, or the version. For
one example, with KAV 6.0 you have:

Start - Programs - Kaspersky Antivirus 6.0 - Modify, Repair or Remove

Does that facility not work correctly?

Did you begin by right-clicking on the Kaspersky icon on the toolbar
and selecting Exit?

Yes i've tried right-clicking on the toolbar, It comes up with the
shutdown box, but it won't shutdown. I've tried "Start-All
Programs-Kaspersky-Modifie,Repaire,Remove & I get the same box. I've
gone into "Add-Remove programs" & get the same box. When I OK it to
"Uninstall", I get a message saying I have to shut it down first with
the buttons of "Retry" & "Close", It just repeats when I click on
"Retry", "Close" just stops the procedue.
I've mannaged to disable it, But it won't let me uninstall.
I'ts Version 6.0.

It's possible you have a corrupt installation. You may wish to try
reinstalling the product over the current installation, then
uninstalling it. That is, unless you've attempted this already.

and download the KisKav6Remove.zip tool. This is a special tool to
completly remove the program if the uninstaller is failing.
