Removing hyperlinks in Word for Mac 2004

I'm trying to remove hyperlinks from a Word document on a Mac running OSX.
The Word help function says to go to the menu, click on Insert, select
Hyperlinks, and click Remove. This option does not show up. I get only
various choices to insert hyperlinks. Oddly enough, this worked when I was
using OS9 and an earlier version of Word. Would love some help!!

It shows up for me. The cursor needs to be in the hyperlink, then Insert |
Hyperlink takes you to the Edit Hyperlink box, and there is a Remove Link
button at the bottom left. You can also get to the Edit Hyperlink box by
using control-click (or right-click) for Hyperlink>Edit Hyperlink.

That's pretty tedious, even if you create a keyboard shortcut to bring up
the Edit Hyperlink dialog.

Do you have lots of hyperlinks to remove? I'm sure there's an easy way, but
I can't remember what it is. Probably a simple macro.

By the way, there are Mac-specific newsgroups as well--though this is not a
particularly Mac-specific question:
See here for Google/Entourage gateway to Mac-specific ngs:
