removing customized toolbars

N

news

Each time I open a file received from our auditors it has their customized
toolbars attached. I remove and delete the customized tabs. But each time
I reopen the file, they appear again and have to be removed from my screen.

Is there anyway to permanently remove a customized toolbar from a file?

TIA

Gerry,

Two possibilities:

1) Right click on a commandbar, choose "Customize", select the "Toolbars"
tab, and click the "Attach..." button. You can then select the commandbar
in the right hand window, then click the delete button.

After finishing, save the file, and then when you open it, there won't be a
toolbar to open.

2) The commandbar could be created by code within the workbook. You would
need to remove the code to disable the toolbar.
