Removing Background Display Pictures from the List

To whom it may concern:
I am having a few troubles with my background displays. I
have some pictures of my family that I used for background
on my desktop. Somehow they ended up on my
Display/Background list and I would like to remove them
from it, but when I click on the name of the image it
says,"What's This?". Is there a way I can remove them from
my background list without deleting them totally. Thank
you.

Check your winnt & winnt/system32 folders to see if the images are there
(try a search for *.bmp). They might
be replicated there, as win2000 seems to look there by default for images to
display.
