Removing and Re-installing Outlook

I have Outlook 2002 with Windows XP Home edition.

The program was originally installed with Office Pro 2002, than re-installed
with an installation CD for a smart phone from T-Mobile.

Currently the program does not want to start. Also not with new profiles. It
says that it should be reinstalled for the current user.

I tried to remove the program and re-install it, but it seems that I am
unable to remove the program completely.

Any suggestions ?

I just uninstalled 2003 (different problem) and discovered same issue...ie.
can not completely uninstall, thus having the same problems after
reinstalling. Now I am afraid to buy and install 2007 as a corrective
answer to the problem. Is there anyone out there from Microsoft watching
this site who can address this problem for both of us?

Yes, that is exactly what I did. I downloaded a trial version of Outlook
2007, and that has removed the previous installations.

Chances are, then, that your problem is in the mail profile, which
uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't affect. Start with a new mail profile
using the Mail applet in the Control Panel.
