Removing all norton products....

Whats up to all! I need help with removing all norton products, because its
a peice of crap. I've already deleted Norton Antivirus program. I still get
annoying security alert messages from "symantec" about live update, and that
message pops up about every 15 seconds. When i try to remove "Live Reg
Update" and some other Norton product, i get an error message saying that i
cant remove those items because there's a program on my system that require
them. How do i find out what programs require these norton products and
remove them?

Go to Norton support and search the knowledge base for "uninstall Norton
antivirus". The procedure is different for different versions and different
again if Norton Internet Security is involved. They have step by step
instructions for each version. You usually have to uninstall anything with
Norton or Symantec in the title in add/remove programs. Then run a special
cleanup program you can download. Then edit the registry. Even after all
that you will still find files littered around your drive and stray registry
entries. Removing Norton is harder than removing most virii.

To completely eliminate all Norton/Symantec features from your PC it is best
to backup your important data files and do a clean install, both of Windows
and your applications. This way, you are sure they no long exist or linger
affecting/effecting other software.
