Removing a drive from save as drop down list

I have a network drive mapped on my computer that I require when using VPN to
the office. If I try to save a document when not connected to VPN I have to
wait 30+ seconds for the drop down box to appear. How do I stop the mapped
drive from appearing on the ist?
