Remove the square symbol from spreadsheet

I have a spreadsheet with an address column. The address
has a square in between each line. When you click on the
data, excel recognizes that the square is a return key
and shows the data in 3 lines. However, when I use this
data in an envelope merge, it puts the square in instead
of placing the data into 3 separate lines.

Can I either remove the squares or use the square as a
deliminator or can I get word to recognize this symbol
and force the data into separate lines in word?

In Excel, try Edit>Replace

what: ALT + 0010(on numpad)
with: space(or nothing)

OR ALT + 0013
