remove <span lang="en-us"> tags?

FP 2003

Just noticed that while typing into the middle of some text in the Design
view on a page that it was automatically inserting a <span lang="en-us"> tag
around my new text. Any way to stop this from happening? I expect it's an
option somewhere but I didn't see anything that looked intuitive.

een. My version's options are not the same as on that page
shows so they were a bit different, but I was able to figger it out!
