I can't tell you anything about Sysmantec's firewall, which I've never used,
but saying that "fire wall is such a pain" and running without one would be
an extremely foolhardy thing to do.

If you don't like Symantec's firewall, find one you like better (personally
I don't like anything Symantec), but running with no firewall is just
looking for trouble.

I don't know what is bothering Nguyen....but I find the Symantec
Internet security firewall useful specially with WIFI and other
wireless internet connections..
In fact I diabled the WinXP firewall in favor of the Symantec and it
never caused me any problems.
Unlike before when I only had the Norton antivirus installed and using
the WinXp firewall.
