Remove Newsgroups After Viewing

After I close MS Mail, I thought the newsgroups would also be removed.
However, when I open up a previously viewed group and download more headers,
all of the old headers are still 'apparently' in the newsgroup folder. I
don't want to keep the files from newsgroups after I've scanned or viewed
them. Especially old files that build up and clutter the HD. So, how can I
safely remove the newsgroups from my computer.

Right mouse click on the topic header in the left pane, choose Properties
Then click on the "Local File" tab.
There you will find the option to delete all the messages or just the message bodies.

First of all, it is best to use the 'current view' setting "Hide Read Messages"
when viewing newsgroups. That will reduce the visual clutter.
Also, instead of deleting old newsgroup messages manually, let WM do it
automatically: Tools, Options, Advanced, Maintenance. Select "Purge
newsgroup messages..." and "Delete news messages X days after..."
