Remove items from customize notifications

K

I have a few listings in the past items area of "customize notifications"
that are for programs I no longer have installed, like "intellepoint' and
Diskkeeper."

I would like to remove those entries. I don't see an obvious method.

Thanks,
Karl

This is one of the things that isn't all that easy but
once you learn how it becomes easier the more you do it.
go>start\run and type in regedit and click ok. Now follow
this route clicking the + beside the entries in this order
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrenVersion/
Explorer/TrayNotify left click on the last entry to open
the sub keys in the right panel. Now in the right panel
locate IconStreams value name and right click on it and
delete it.Now close out of regedit. Right click on the
task bar and click Task manager and then click the
processes tab. Right click on explorer.exe and click end
process. Now on the tool bar click File\New task and type
in explorer and press ok. This is rather in depth so you
should write or print these instructions. Keep smiling.
