Remove Highlite

When I paste text that is highlighted (ex:green) from Word into an
HTML email, Outlook retains the highlight characteristic. How do I
remove it. There is nothing in any of the formating features to
remove highlight. Applying a style does not do it either.

I know I could just do it in word, but it seems that if Outlook can
display that font attribute, it should also be able to manipulate it.

Thanks

Not sure which version of Outlook you are using or whether or not you are
using Word as your e-mail editor, but take a peek under the Edit menu for
Paste Special.

Sorry. I am using Outlook 2000.
I do not use Word as my email editor (it seems to really complicate
things).
I am curious, do most people use Outlook or Word as their editor
(maybe I am just behind the times).

Great little app. Does the trick, but I would still be interested in
a 'Outlook only' solution.
Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know any way to do that. You can paste HTML formatted
data into the Outlook editor, but the editor itself is very limited when
it comes to text formatting. And unformatting. That is why some people
prefer to use Word. I don't; I use FrontPage if I need some formatting,
then paste the formatted text into Outlook.

Never done a survey, but here is my thought on it over the years in
supporting the product in a business environment.

* Earlier versions like yours, no. (Outlook's editor is default)
* Outlook 2003, yes (Word 2003 is default)
* Outlook 2007, no choice (MS unified the editors and is based on Word 2007)

The reason around the above is that I have found that most don't reconfigure
away from the "default" configuration.
