remove folder redirection

I've experienced this problem

I've a windows 2003 domain with only windows XP Pro client SP1
I've created a network share on a server (that is a DC) and a GPO apllied to a OU named "Accounts" that redirect My document folder for all users in "Accounts" (I've used "Basic - Redirect everyone's folder to the same location"
All work well
The problems begin when i've decided to remove the folder redirection and the network share
I've redirected My document folder to the local profile and every this works well
But i've noted that when a user logs off from a client (even if the GPO was deleted) still do a syncronizzation and if I remove sharing from network share an error appear at logoff: " Impossible to connect to \\dc1\docs"
Is this normal
or is a bug of windows XP Pro o Windows 2003 server
Is a misconfiguration
Thanks for your help

This have to do with Offline Files and not actually not with Folder
Redirection. How ever you have to clear the offline cache at each computer
or disable offline file use.

How to Restart the Offline Files Cache/Database:
