Remove active directory from the domain controller

I am trying to remove the active directoty from my one
domain controller using server 2000 sp4 .This domain
controller is holding the roles of schema master and Rid .
Whenenver i ma trying to remove it is giving me error that
enter the system account with enterprise privilidges .
However i am trying with administrator account which is
also a member of enterprise admins.i want to demote
because i am getting a sam error on this DC .Which is
uprepairable.Can you please give me some suggestion . i
will be greatfull

If you are trying to demote the DC, creating a workgroup (peer-to-peer) and
loosing all your Active Directory setting, run DCPROMO /ForceRemoval

Thanx for responding.It should go smoothly once i have all
the priviledge to remove it .I also want my all records to
be in the other domain controller.This domai controller is
holding the roles of schema master and the one more role
as a RId mater .IF i am trying to transfer these records
it is giving me the error of unable to find RID master .


I am also getting the sam error id
