REMOTE TV/SLINGBOX

I have a HP media center TV whichis set up to so that I can view my cable tv
channels on the pc monitor.
Is there a way I can view these TV program on a laptop computer antwhere in
the world using an internet connection?
Or do I meed to buy and hook up a Slingbox to my TV at at home? The Slingbox
is the device used to view TV remotely.
I figure that if I already have these channels online then perhaps all I
need is some software to enable me to access them remotely, if this was so I
could save a lot of money by not having to buy a slingbox.

I don't know of any TV tuner or tuner software that allows this, you will
need a hardware device like Slingbox that does.
