Remote Procedure Call

After about 5 minutes my PC comes up with a message that
says Windows is rebooting because Remote Procedure Call
(RPC) terminated unexpectedly, I am running XP PRO and
this is a new installation, any suggestions, ideas?

Please post the exact message. Sounds like a virus.
After receiving the message you can prevent the re-boot by
going to Start, Run and typing SHUTDOWN -A and hit OK.
Please provide more details . . .

You have one of the recent worms--Blaster, Sasser, etc. To find
out which one and get specific help for fixing it, post the full
exact text of the message.
