Remote Procedure Call

When I connect to the internet via a cable modem I receive
a system shutdown message inititated by NT
Authority\System, and then a sixty second countdown to a
restart. message reads "Windows must now restart because
the remote procdure call (RPC) service terminated
unexpectedly"

Hi Paul,

To stop the reboots: Go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc. Scroll down
to Remote Procedure Call (RPC)/Recovery/First Failure/Restart the Service.

Then close Windows Explorer, run the edit on line 257 then run the patch
