remote printing with HP Officejet 5610xi

I have a terminal server with Windows 2003 and a client trying to use
an HP Officejet 5610xi all-in-one for remote printing. All HP will tell
me is that it is not supported. I have tried to install the XP driver
on the server using their installer but it will not complete the
process. Have tried to manually install but can't find any suitable
driver on the CD. Have also tried an alternate driver suggested by HP
but jobs just hang in the clients spooler. The printer is redirecting
but its just using the fallback driver and the jobs wont print. Any
help would be appreciated.

I have been successful with the HP6210 by simply connecting the same model
printer to the TS box and completely setting it up and running a few test
prints. Once I did that, my remote desktop users were able to successfully
connect over VPN and the 6210 in the remote office worked great. Just make
sure it is the default printer on there local machines, and then check the
Printer box under the Local Resources tab of the Remote Desktop connector.

My trouble now is getting it to map when they are not connecting over VPN,
but instead straight to the TS box over public IP.

Good luck!
