Reposting as hope someone can help, as running out of ideas and need to get
fixed.

Thought my problem could be XP Home but after also setting up the TS Client
on a Win2K Pro system getting the same result, of "The connection to the
server has timed out. Try connecting to the terminal server again". Up to
two weeks agon when the main user went away on holiday everything was
working fine. Not aware of any changes being made to user permissions in the
meantime.

The remote network is connected via a VPN appears to be working fine as can.
Ping the server by IP address from the remote computers
Can make a telnet connection from remotes using telnet ipaddress 3389 and
see the console icon being created on through TS Manager.
Can access shares on the server from the remote pcs.

Can connect to the TS Server from other remote locations and also from the
local network and see new licenses being created on the new local
connection.

Tried various Keep Alive tweaks recommended from reading other postings.
Rebooted TS Server

There are no log entries in the Server or Client Event logs that indicate a
problem with licensing.

Hopefully someone can suggest some way of tracking the problem down and
fixing it.
Chris
