Remote Desktop question

Dave H

I administer a small Win 2003 Server network, with XP SP2 clients, in a
classroom and am trying to figure out a way to view, from my desktop, what a
student is seeing on their own desktop. I would like to be able to do this
without being intrusive to the work they are performing and therefore would
like an option that doesn't lock their workstation while I view it. Remote
Desktop doesn't appear to be the answer. Are there any tools within the
Microsoft OSs, or admin packs, that would allow me to do this without having
to spend money to purchase additional software.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, since our budgets don't allow us to
buy staples, let alone software.
