Remote Desktop Printer Redirection

I have a customer who connects to my Windows 2003 Advanced server via remote
desktop. He has 2 printers connected to his machine which is running Windows
XP. I have loaded his printer drivers on my server but his printers are not
being redirected. I look in Event Viewer for errors but see none when he
logs in. I also have other clients who connect via remote desktop and their
printers show up fine. Any idea why his printers are not being redirected?

The most likely would be that one of his printers is a TCP/IP connected
printer, and he is using an RDP Client older than 5.2.3790. If you upgrade
the client to 5.2.3790 or the one that's bundled with XP SP2, it should allow
for autocreation of TCP/IP Printers.

Another option is printers that use a non-standard port, i.e. DOT4, which
requires a registry change to allow these to auto-create:
