Remote Desktop not working with Router and Comcast account

I cannot get Remote Desktop to connect outside of my network through my firewall. It does work within my network. I have forwarded the appropriate port (3389?) to the IP address of my machine. Comcast is my ISP, is there something that they do with their external IP addresses that prevent RD from connecting correctly? I am using a Netgear RP614 router is there something I need to do besides forwarding the port to the machine i want to connect? Any help would be great, thanks

Well, other than the possibility (slim) that Comcast is blocking TCP Port 3389, verify the IP your
calling and that port forwarding is setup correctly...

You might contact Comcast to check if they do or do not block the port.

Where are you calling from? If its from work its possible they block TCP Port 3389 outbound.
