Remote desktop dialog box

I would like to prohibit users from changing the properties of the RDP
shortcut I create for them. In other words, I do not want them to be able to
change the file path on the Program tab or change the credentials specified
on the General tab. Is there a ini file or something that controls this?

You can have them logon via Remote Desktop Web Connection, or you can deploy
an application publishing program like WTSPortal, Remote Application Center,
Citrix, Jetro or Tarantella.

Using RDWC will not prevent someone from logging on with the full RDP
client. If users only need one application, you can set this application in
the user's account, instead of in an RDP shortcut.

Citrix MetaFrame allows you to restrict users specifically to the the
application you publish. If they try to logon any other way, they get denied.

So there is no ini file that can be edited to gray out the dialog box choices
that you know of?

I was going with the environment tab until I was told the users needed 3
applications.

We have Citrix in another area, but there is no money for that in this
situation. Are any of the other options you mention (WTSPortal, Remote
Application Center,
Citrix, Jetro or Tarantella) free?

I will also look into the web option, but time and a learning curve may be
an issue. Thanks!

Remote Application Center is absolutely free, and WTSPortal is really
inexpensive (I think around $350).
