remote desktop connection

Do I need to install remote desktop on both of the computers I wish to use
for this type of connection? I see where they have both web server and
client. Does the web server of the one machine start at boot?

You need to enable Remote Desktop on the machine you want to connect to -
think of this as the 'server.' On the 'client' simply go to
Start/Programs/Accessories/Communications and click on Remote Desktop.

IIS and its components are startup services - ie. you can access a web
server even though no one has logged onto the server.

So what is the best way to enable remote desktop? Is there a file or icon
you click? Excuse me for being so stupid.
