Remote Desktop and Terminal Services will not start...

I have a new PC that is on our network and when it was configured it was
working correctly. About 1 week later we found that we could not connect to
it remotely and upon further investigation found that terminal services is
not running. Looking at the Terminal Services Manager indicates that it
cannot authenticate itself to start the service. I have tried re installing
SP2 and repairing the installation. I have also tried numerous registry
edits that produced nothing different. Has anyone seen this before and/or
does anyone ahve any suggestions to resolve this issue?

TS service depends on RPC service. Make sure RPC is running.

First let me say thanks for the reply, but RPC is running on the machine as
well as the other automatic services that are required for the OS. I suppose
that is what makes this so frustrating; I cannot see anything that would stop
the machine from listening on 3389, running terminal services, and using RDP.
I can connect to the machine in many other ways and I can connect from that
machine to any machine I choose. Essentially, it works just fine until we
try to connect to it with RDP.

Have you looked in the event log to see if there are any messages that may
provide a clue?
