Remote Connection

I go to 'Start', 'All Programs', 'Accessories', 'Communication', then 'Remote
Desktop Connection'. I type in my friends IP address and try to connect. It
says,"The client could not connect to the remote computer

Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to
accept new connections. It is also possible that network problems are
preventing your connection.

Please try connecting again later. If the problem continues to occur,
contact your administrator.

Hi Marco,

1) Does your friend have the system enabled to receive Remote Desktop? This
is on the remote tab of system properties, and is not the same thing as
Remote Assistance. This feature is only available in WinXP Pro systems.

2) Is your friend's machine behind a router? If so, then he will need to
enable port forwarding on the router for 3389 to the internal IP of the
machine you are trying to reach.
