Remote Assistance Keyboard & Mouse problems

Hi,
We (system admins) are using MS Office Communicator 2005 for Remote
Assistance. Sometimes users offers us Application Sharing and sometimes we
Offer them Assistance under Help and Support in Start Menu. Quite often there
are similar problems - if the assistance session is getting longer than
several minutes, there might appear some anomalies with keyboard and mouse.
Some areas won't allow any text to type, mouse's buttons are acting weird
etc. When I release the control, user sometimes can't use his keyb/mouse and
has to do restart. Of course it's quite bothersome if he/she has many
applications opened.
Is someone familiar with that problem? I hope I expressed myself clearly
enough.
[Op.sys. = XP Pro]

Thanks in advance,
William Great

Hi William,

I'm using the Remote Assistance and I face differents problems. Once I'm
connected, it is going fine with periphericals. But I'm facing a real
problem with connectivity. 80 % of the time, the remote assistance is unable
to find hte IP address or the computer name. And the second time, it almost
connect automatically to the user computer. We are on a XP SP2 OS and it was
the same with SP1. I'm woindering with this is not an issue with the
software ? He had WinVnc (freeware) with W2K and it was more than perfect.

Anybody encounter William's problem or mine's ?

Thanks for letting us know !
