Reminders popping up when outlook is off

Is there a way to turn off reminders so that they do not pop up when outlook
is not running?

If you are seeing reminders, Outlook is still running. Check for the OL icon
in the lower right corner. If it's there, right click and uncheck Hide when
minimized. If it's not, look at your Task Mgr to see if it's running. Addons
can keep OL running when you turn it off.
