Hello,

Is there functionality in MS ACCESS 2000 SR 1 or ACCESS 2003 to automatically
remember form position/sizes as well as Main window size?
We have a main Access window with 2 forms. Due to different display
resolutions and preferences users resize these windows and they would like
the application to remember their positions /sizes on the application startup.
I sure can store 12 values (position, hight, width for all 3 ) in the config
file or registry and to something on the startup, but I wounder if there is
an existent functionality for that?

I have used code to store a form's window positions as custom properties
of the form. You could as easily store that information in a table.

Hello Dirk!

Thanks so much for your reply.
This is exactly what I will do. Yesterday afrenoon I found out that the
previous developer alredy started writing code for this functionality several
years ago but did not finish. But she was writing for Access 97. We are
currently on Access 2000 moving to Access 2003. I was wondering if there
could be new features allowing to restore windows to the previous sizes.
Judging by the answers, no. So I will write code.
Thanks again,

Yelena

P.S. I can answer your SQL Server questions if you would have any.
