First thing to try :
One way would be to remove it from the Windows Password
list and then re-apply the settings. You could do this be
Start > Run > CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2
When that loads, click "Advanced" and then "Manage
Passwords". In these is a list of stored non-user
password's and in theory there will be one called dialup
connection. Just remove it.
In theory when you go back to the dialup dialog now the
password and username that was stored will be gone.
Make sure you write the username down if you don't know
it off by heart.
This may not work, so
Did you try just clicking the password and changing it??
Does it not retain the new password???
