Relocating Personal Files (.pst) in Outlook 2007

I could swear I posted this a week or two ago, but can't find it now, so I'll
ask again.
For security purposes, I'd like to relocate my .pst file in Outlook '07 to a
Network Attached Storage (NAS) Raid array, but can't seem to get it to work.
I go to Files>Data File Management, click on Add, select the file type, then
in the "Create or Open Outlook Data File" dialog, I browse to the location on
the NAS drive, click OK and I get an error message, "An unknown error
occurred, error code 0x80070006". Am I doing something wrong, missing
something or is it not possible to do this?

Using WXP Pro SP3.

Don't. Accessing pst files over a network is a) not supported by MS (so when
not if b happens you are on your own) and b) one of the quickest ways to a
corrupted pst file.
If this is for centralised backup purposes, then download and install the MS
pst backup utility which will backup your pst file to any location you
specify on Outlook shutdown.

So that, in addition to having the mirroring of Raid 1, I could access it
from any of the computers on my LAN?

I didn't know it wasn't supported; it should be. I did something similar on
my daughter's LAN with an older version of Outlook, in that I had the two
computers on the network accessing the SAME .pst, which was stored on one of
them.

You did, and we wondered why you would want to do something that is not
supported and would corrupt your data.
