Reinstalling IE 6

This most likely has been ask a hundred times. How can I reinstall I E 6.

I have been having trouble with IE6 when downloading files from the
internet. I download but cannot use the files. I have installed Firefox
and everything is fine when downloading using Firefox.

Also a few other programs uses IE to run and I have problems with them. I
have not been able to change them to using Firefox.

Can someone tell me how I can reinstall IE 6? I am using XP Home. I would
prefer not to do a repair install of XP. Thanks,

When everything works in Firefox or another browser but doesn't in IE, the
culprit is almost always hijackware. Hijackware infects the Operating
System (Windows), not IE, so reinstalling IE won't help, OG.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
