my problems is that I was doing a restore when the electricite went out, and
now when I boot I have the mouse only with a black screen as a background I
tried the repair option from the DVD and it can find any problems, the
restore option from the DVD can not find a restore point

Losing power unexpectedly is newer a good thing, especially when making
changes to the OS such as those introduced by doing a system restore.

Chances are, something has gotten corrupted on the hard disk.

Are you able to boot into Safe Mode?

Hi,

Boot the system with the Vista DVD and go into the recovery options by
clicking the option to repair your computer. Try running a system restore
from there, choosing a different point. The startup repair isn't going to
fix the problem here, which is likely corrupted system files.

windows.old can get the emails from that directory and how?

There is no such thing as a 'repair install' with Vista.

Yes I did but I decided to reinstall Vista, my problem now is how to get
mail mail messages, the new installation created a wiondows.old directory do
you know where the emails are in this directory?
