Hi,
While trying to 'repair' some issues in OutlookExpress V6, I kind of broke
it further, and would really like to reinstall IE6 w/OE, without the trouble
of an OS reinstall.
MS article Q318378 explains that this can be done by tweaking 2 Reg keys. I
did this, but it has not helped the situation. When you boot, Windows
acknowledges that they have been removed by issuing a message, but an IE
install attempt still says that a newer version of IE exists. And, all IE
and OE functions are intact. I also removed all IE personal settings when
prompted to do so.
I'm running WinXP Prof SP1 with IE 6 SP1. Does anyone have any additional
information on properly enabling a reinstall of IE6?
Thanks, Steve
