Registry key permissions

How does one restore the registry key permissions to their default
permissions?

I totally hosed up my permissions on my registry keys. I found
some keys that I can't gain any access to. How do I gain access
to the keys that I have no access to. I don't like secrets on my
computer systems. <g>

There should be no secrets that the OS has to hide from me!
