Teri

While checking the following error I was going to
increase my time out in the registry. The link below
said to do this go to
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\\<service
name>\PerfSubKey
No where in my registry is a "HKLM\system"

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Perflib
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1015
Date: 5/28/2004
Time: 2:29:07 PM
User: N/A
Computer: OEMCOMPUTER
Description:
The timeout waiting for the performance data collection
function "TermService" in the "C:\WINDOWS\system32
\perfts.dll" Library to finish has expired. There may be
a problem with this extensible counter or the service it
is collecting data from or the system may have been very
busy when this call was attempted.

Hi

Haven't you got HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System in the Registry? If you're not
sure what to look for in the registry, please leave it alone. You could
make your system completely unbootable!!
