Where is the registry stored?

I am trying to change a value on a external registry on another system on
another disk.

I need to change the registry for that one so it can resolve a login problem
for that system on that disk.

Man Win2k is full of problems. :(re

Assuming your other PC is on the network there may be an easier way to fix
this problem: from another PC open Regedit, then click Registry, Connect
Network Registry. Specify either the computer name or IP address and click
OK.

Look in

%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\Config
You probably want to play with either software or system.

I am trying to find a way to open and edit an external registry on an
external harddisk that I have connectted as a slave drive on my system.

The external registry is part of another system that have problem booting in
due to a changed drive, so I have to work on that external registry so I can
make it boot correctly again.
