Registration form sold out

I have a registration form on my website that allows students to sign up for
classes. How can I put a limit on the number of people who can sign up for a
class? Ideally if student number 11 tried to sign up for a class that only
allowed 10 students, they would not be able to continue with the registration
process and would be notified that the course is sold out. How can I do this?

You would need to store a count of the registration in a database, and then when the number hit max,
disable the form, etc.
