Regestry Mechanic

Does anyone have any experience with the program Registry Mechanic? I've
been using JV16 Power Tools for registry cleanup and it works pretty good
and safely. Supposedly Registry Mechanic is better. I tried the trial
version of Registry Mechanic and it did identify more problems than the
JV16. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Registry Mechanic has gotten good reviews, however, my experience with
all registry cleaners including JV16 has been that they sometimes are
a bit too optimistic in what they identify as "not needed". The good
ones always make a backup though which allows you to undo the changes
they made.

Since Registry Mechanic is payware and only $19.95 (download), it
certainly seems worthwhile. Give it a shot....

I have been using the various versions of Registry Mechanic the past 4 or 5
years, possibly longer, and never have had a problem with it. It is
possibly as efficient as this type of program can get. In my opinion System
Mechanic has become bloated with their recent version (Version 4). They
have succumbed to the temptation of trying a "Swiss Army" knife approach.

I also use RegSupreme which is somewhat more aggressive and is certainly
"leaner and meaner". Reg Supreme will find redundant entries that System
Mechanic doesn't. Both programs backup the Registry before removing
entries. If you just want a very efficient Registry Cleaner, I would
suggest you try RegSupreme.
