Regedit

When I type "regedit" into the run box I get a dos window appear with the
header of "C:|WINDOWS\System32\regedit.com", if I type regedit.exe it works
fine. Does anyone know what this is?

I am running XP professional and have McAfee Internet security suite
which is updated everyday together with the following:

Spybot S&D, Adaware, Microsoft anti spyware all of which are run
regularly.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I suggest deleting regedit.com for the moment and watch for it to return.

Problem there, I can't find the file regedit.com or the folder system32 even
though I have show all files and folders switched on!

Try Checking "Show hidden files and folders", and UNchecking "Hide
protected operating system files"
