Refill ink for pixima ip 4200

G

Gordon Abbot

Where can I get ink for my new Canon Pixima ip 4200 that is the same as
the canon ink?

I have shifted from HPs and love the canon. Much better printer.

I have heard good things about MIS ink but did not see the 4200 on their
site, only the 4000.

Most do work very well. However, Magenta seems to be special. I don't
know any OEM yet which has the proper color.

When you check by google, it was mentionned that you can (could?) get
the same, original chromalife ink (AFAIR: amazon Japan). I don't know
any reasonable source here.

MOST WILL NOT TELL YOU WHAT YOU ARE GETTING SO YOU NEVER KNOW HOW WHAT
WORKS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS.

THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE WHO THE FORMULATOR OF THEIR UNBRANDED GENERIC INK
IS; NOT EVEN FOR THE OLDER CANON PRINTERS.

I would recommend NuJet at www.nujet.com. They were recommended to
me by a commercial printer and I've been using their inks for at least
10 years with super results.

THIS IS ADVICE FROM A JERK. ONLY USE OEM INK TO PROTECT YOUR PRINTER

Look for BCI7 compatible ink, it is the same formulation as CLI8 ink. The
PGI5 ink is the same formulation as BCI3eBK. BCI6 compatible ink has been
known to work in CL-100 printers. Weink sells a specific compatible to
the BCI7/CLI8 inks, called RC100.

THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE WHO THE FORMULATOR OF THEIR UNBRANDED GENERIC INK
IS; NOT EVEN FOR THE OLDER CANON PRINTERS.

They don't directly, or need to to have qualtity product. Research will
lead you to the company that makes the bulk ink they resell.

Or when dealing with re-branded store labeled ink the first group
digits of the bar code are the manufacturers code. You learn that
trick when buying from drug stores.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS JERK. THE ONLY WAY TO GET INK OF THE SAME QUALITY
AS CANON AND BE ASSURED OF IT IS TO GO TO YOUR FAVORITE INK STORE AND
BUY CANON OEM PREFILLED CARTS.

WESTINK IS OVERPRICED AND I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. FOR A
COUPLE OF DOLLARS MORE YOU CAN GET GENUINE CANON INK.

THIS GUY IS A FOOL. HE IS EITHER A DUMB KID OR AN OLD FART
They don't directly,
THEY DON'T AT ALL. PERIOD
or need to to have qualtity product.

OK, I'd like to know who makes inks that Hobbicolors resells?
What kind of "research" can answer such questions?

I have NO clue the OEM on hobbicolor ink.

The type of research that can lead to a possible match are simple color
swab tests and a color scanner.

You can for example see that not only are the MIS, Media Street, and
the Image Specalist ink are similar in the scan, but you can also
observe that the faiding is so damn similar. Hitting the Image
Specalist website you can see that they supply MIS, and share the same
city with Media Street.

HobbiColor I've simply not seen in contrast to other major brands.

Not even Canon will tell you who made the ink they relabel. These are
secrets of the industry. The ink they finally chose for their printers
was submitted by different major printer ink manufacturers. As Canon is
strictly an electronics firm it has to rely on people who actually know
something about commercial printer inks, companies that have been in the
printer ink industry for decades. I'm not talking ink jet, I'm talking
printer inks for such things as magazine, bottles. These are the people
who know inks.

TALLYHO DOESNOT UNDERSTAND THAT CANON DESIGNED THE PRINTER AND
FORMULATED THE INK TO THE SPECIFICATION NEEDED TO WORK WITH THAT DESIGN
AND THEN DEVELOPED THE PAPER TO WORK WITH BOTH THE DESIGN AND THEIR
FORMULATION. THEN THEY MOST LIKLE OUTSOURCED THE INK AND PAPER
PRODUCTION TO PRODUCE THEIR PATENTS AND OVERSEE THE QUALITY CONTROL.
MANY COMPANIES IN THIS POSITION EVEN HAVE AN ONSITE QA PERSON MAKING
SURE OF QA. THEN IT IS LABELED AND PACKAGED WITH THEIR OWN NAME AND
SOLD IN ALL VENUES.

IN CONTRAST THE WHORES BUY ANYTHING FROM WHO KNOWS WHO PRODUCING WHO
KNOWS WHAT IN LARGE BULK AND THEN FILLS NO NAME CARTS AND PLACES A MA
AND PA STORE LABEL ON IT AND SELLS IT. NEXT MONTH IT COULD BE SOMETHING
ELSE. THEY ONLY SELL IT ON THEIR HOMEMADE WEBSITE.

TALLYHO IS A JOKE, A GREEN BEHIND THE EARS KID WHO DID NOT GRADUATE HIGH
SCHOOL WHO ONLY LUCK OUT AGAINST THE CLOG BECAUSE HE PRINTS SO MUCH THAT
THE INK NEVER GETS A CHANCE TO DRY OUT BUT WILL SOON FACE FADING PRINTS.

THAT IS A LIE HOW WOULD YOU EXPECT A HIGH SCHOOL KID TO KNOW
