Redirected start menu

I have a problem with the start menu for my users.
If I delete an entry in their start menu on the server, it still remains in
the user's start menu. How can I delete unwanted entries.
I may not have explained this very well but any help would be ppreciated.

Possible causes
-- The entry belongs to the "All users" public profile .
-- Workstations donot download users roaming profiles from server.
In the first case, you should delete it from this public profile and
the second case you should configure user accounts to force WKSs
download roaming profiles.
