Redirected My Documents Question

I have my users MY Documents folders redirected via GPO to
our server. I am replacing this server for new hardware.
What is the best way to move the MY Documents folders to
the new server and change the GPO path? Thanks.

do you set the users home folder in the AD ? under each user object. in which
cause you should be able to do a automatic change on all users to take
account of the new servers name.

other option is if the data server is going to be brand new is to rename the
new server to be the same as the old one once the old server has been
decommisioned, IE old data server name = data call one data server data1
once the copy of users areas is complete, rename the new box and you will not
have to change any settings in the AD, just make shore all dns, and things
like IP are sorted out from rename.

I set the users home folder under the profile tab in the
users account properties. Given that, what would be the
best way to go about this?
