Recycle bin problems with folder redirection

Hi,

I have used Group policy to redirect the desktop, my
documents etc. This is working fine.

However when a user deletes a file it seems to completely
delete the file rather than send it to the recycle bin.

I cannot work out how to check where the recycle bin has
been redirected to or why files are being permanently
deleted...!

I am on W2K SP4. client and server.

any help appreciated!

You don't say where you are redirecting to, but if it's to a network
share then that is the expected behaviour. In other words when you
delete any file from a network share it isn't saved in the recycle bin,
either on the networked server or locally on the client PC.
