Recycle bin problem

I have a very strange problem with my recycle bin. Here is everything I am
experiencing:
(1)The Icon on the desktop shows full
(2)The bin shows empty when I open it and it says "0 objects....0 bytes" as
well.
(3)When I delete or drag something to the bin, it still shows "0 objects"
and the item does not show up in the folder. I CAN click "edit" and "undo
delete" and the object comes back (proving the bin is not set delete files as
soon as you put them in)
(4)I deleted some pictures that I want to recover, and this is when I
discovered the problem. The process stated above only works for the last
item deleted.
(5) I have tried to "restore all items" with no luck.
(6) I have not emptied the bin since deleting the photos.

Should I try to restore my computer to an earlier time? Should I try
clicking "empty the recycle bin" and see if it confirms any items to be
emptied?

Go to Kelly's site:

Click on "R" and scroll to recycle bin for suggestions on troubleshooting.
