Recycle Bin Icon Disappeared. How to bring it back?

A few days ago i changed display properties for a programme to run. When i undid it my recycle bin icon disappeared from desktop. I can neither bring it back nor create it anew. Nothing happened to the bin itself, it's a matter of icon only, i hope
