Recurring appointment memory error

I have Outlook 2000 running as a client on a SBS 2000 network. Plaxo dropped
a recurring appointment into the calendar and I can not delete it, It has
looped onto itself and has 1365 accurances.. In fact there are 6 seperate
appointments that have dome this same thing. When i try to delete the
acurance, the error reads,

"not enough memory"

Is there a way to clean out the calendar ( i do not use it) but do need to
be able to sink the Mailbox with a verizon vzw account for my mobile phone.
The excess accurance locks up my TREO/VZW account..

can you open it and change the end date? after you do that, you might be
able to delete it.
